How much does it cost for an accountant to do tax returns for small self-employed company?

Depends on the turnover and what state the accounts are in when you hand them to the accountant I guess. £500-£750 seems to be the going rate.

Depends on the size of the firm you use Some charge the same as solicitors....£250 per hour If you can not complete it yourself you would be better off by locating a local paper advert for a 'book keeper' working from home. It will be cheaper Or Cheaper even still is go to your local inland revenue with all your records and they will help you complete it for free

I used a small firm in Brighton - they charged me 330 pounds all in - brillinat! Saved me a lot of hassle. All i did was gave them a pile of book sand receipts and they did the rest.

I assume it is not a limited company, but a sole trader. Do you want accounts prepared or just the tax returns completed and submitted? Accounts depends on state of the books and records, so difficult to quote without more info. Tax returns (simple ones) £125 each.
